ANXIETY.  So much has been written, researched, studied about anxiety and how it can impact every aspect of your life.  Anxiety can include:

  • Generalized Anxiety
  • Social Anxiety
  • Panic Disorder
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Phobias
  • Agoraphobia
  • Separation Anxiety

As of late, your symptoms of anxiety may have increased. There are many who have not really faced anxiety to any great degree before this particular year.  Anxiety has been on the increase for so many in this time of confusion and uncertainty.

Anxiety can show up in many ways:

  • Dizziness
  • Spaciness
  • Clenched stomach
  • Nausea, vomiting and other GI distress
  • Migraine headaches
  • Pounding/rapid heartbeat
  • Chest pain
  • Sweating
  • Constant worry
  • Shortness of breath
  • Shakiness
  • Tingling in arms and legs
  • Restless legs
  • Confusion
  • Ear Ringing

In addition, you may experience panic attacks.  They, too, have been on the rise due to so much uncertainty and fear.  Panic attacks have a sense of feeling significant restlessness, nausea, heart pounding, dizziness, a sense of dread, feeling as though you are having a heart attack and even feel as though you are going to die.  OF COURSE, you will not die from a panic attack.  The discomfort can be unbearable at times, but your symptoms will dissipate.

Know that through anxiety therapy, I can help you explore your symptoms, their origins, and triggers. There are many strategies in which I can help you manage your symptoms.  Some of these are cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, meditation, breathing exercises, self-compassion, and grounding exercises – to name a few.
